347 Stainless Steel Sheet
For demanding high-temperature applications.
We stock 347 stainless steel sheets - a multi-purpose engineering material with excellent heat and corrosion resistance.
347 is a multi-purpose austenitic stainless steel offering excellent heat and corrosion resistance. With improved mechanical properties compared to grade 304, the alloy is suitable for more demanding high-temperature applications. 347 stainless steel is stabilised with tantalum and columbium during the alloying process and provides excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion to temperatures ranging from 427 to 816°C (800 to 1500°F). The alloy is, therefore, highly suitable for service in aqueous and low-temperature environments. The material may be hardened by cold working and is non-magnetic. The weldability of the alloy is also superior.
Commercial Applications
Typical applications include heat exchangers, pressure vessels, nuclear components and aerospace parts.
