Low Density, High Strength
Titanium sheets, guillotined in-house.
Smiths Advanced Metals is a leading stockist and supplier of titanium sheets, including commercially pure and alloyed grades.
We stock sheets in various grades, which we also process in-house, thanks to our dedicated guillotining service. Our supply services are instantly scalable, irrespective of whether you require single sheets or wish to purchase in large volumes.
Corrosion Resistance
Our titanium sheet naturally produces an oxide layer that resists corrosion in various atmospheres. The alloy is significantly more resistant to attack in oxidating environments. It possesses excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion, making it useful in marine applications. Our products also function well in offshore and petrochemical applications, producing products such as high-pressure heat exchangers.
Diverse Use
Titanium sheet has many applications, ranging from aerospace airframes, pressure vessels, and engine parts to intricate, decorative jewellery. Though many alloys are generally less expensive, titanium offers performance benefits, resulting in a cost-effective material solution.
View RangeUnalloyed vs Alloyed Titanium
Commercially pure titanium offers moderate strength, is softer and offers superior ductility compared to titanium alloys.
However, titanium alloys are combined with other metals, allowing the resulting material to be heat-treated. The outcome is a much stronger product with greater flexibility, malleability and increased fabricability.
Titanium alloys provide superior engineering options, but commercially pure grades also have their place.
Stock Information
Our titanium sheet stock includes multiple material grades, which offer different performance characteristics and find suitability in various commercial markets.
All our titanium sheet stock carries a unique bar code for total traceability while under our care. Our barcode functionality forms part of our industry-leading bespoke IT platform.
We combine our stock, in-house processing services, and UKAS-accredited metallurgical support services to offer a single supply source for your engineering raw materials.
