Nitriding Steels
Nitriding is a heat-treatment process which results in a case-hardened surface.
Nitrided steel, often referred to as case-hardened steel, is typically performed on low-alloy products. The method uses nitrogen, introduced into the material surface, to increase the product's hardness.
The result is steel, which offers good wear resistance and anti-galling properties.
