Maraging 350

Maraging steel bars to AMS 6515

Maraging steel with greater strength for high-performance components.

Maraging 350 Steel Bar

Nickel-based maraging steel.

We stock Maraging 350 steel bars that provide even greater strength and are ideal for producing high-performance components.

Maraging 350 steel is a nickel-based material that utilises cobalt as a primary strengthening agent in the alloying process. The product has the highest strength of all available maraging steels and offers excellent mechanical properties. The maraging treatment is performed at low temperatures, creating the desired strength and toughness characteristics. It also results in an alloy perfect for machining to very close tolerances.

Delivery Condition

We supply Maraging 350 in the annealed condition where the microstructure consists of fine martensite. Machining in the maraged condition is also possible. The tensile strength of the alloy is retained even at elevated temperatures (up to 450°C), while notch impact toughness is maintained at temperatures as low as -50°C.

Applications

With high tensile and fatigue strength, Maraging 350 finds use in product areas such as actuators, casting components, military gears, missile casings and aerospace driveshafts. We process your maraging steel bars in-house.

Stock Availability

Smiths Advanced Metals stocks Maraging 350 steel bars in the annealed condition and in closer incremental sizes to suit your particular engineering requirements.
