ASTM B151 outlines the requirements for copper-nickel zinc alloys in bar or rod form, including chemical composition and different tempers. ASTM International is an organisation based in the United States that gains collaborative consensus and publishes technical standards for specific materials and products.
Our copper nickel bar products (also called cupronickel) are popular within the marine and offshore industry, along with sanitary applications due to the alloy's strength, corrosion resistance and anti-microbial capabilities. We stock various material grades under equivalent specifications such as British Standards and Euro Norm. Our stock range includes closer incremental sizes, which means that once you purchase solid round bars from us, it often negates the need for machining down. Stocking products in this way ultimately save you time and money.
Our bulk warehousing facility in Biggleswade is home to in-house processing equipment, where, as a Group, we accurately cut more than 2 million billets each year. We also offer comprehensive metallurgical support via our UKAS Accredited Materials Testing Laboratory.
Many of our products are manufactured and certified to various specifications.
We stock certain alloys which are dual, triple and even quad certified. So, even if you are looking to source a material grade which is outside of the scope of this website, there is a high likelihood that we hold certified material to the specification you require.
